This weekend I had entirely too much going on – so much for challenging myself to post to my blog every day! Oh well! I refuse to stress or worry about it. I think my lone follower will understand!
Between my Saturday events/obligations (Senior Olympics Dance Competition and my nephew’s football game), I had about 45 minutes to kill so I popped into the Main Street Market downtown. On the first Saturday of the month there is an arts market in addition to the usual farmer’s market, and I’m a sucker for that kind of stuff.
One of my favorite photographers, Joshua Lee, is usually a vendor at the arts market. I’m really inspired by his photography and his sense of humor. I almost always pop into his booth and check out his work, though I’ve seen most of it plenty of times before. On Saturday we struck up a conversation and I noticed he had his dog, Fritz, with him. Since I had my camera with me, I couldn’t help myself. Look at this face. Could you??

It wa s a bit of a challenge shooting Fritz because he was in the shade, but the ground right behind him was in full sun. Not sure how to deal with this situation. If any of my photographer followers (Wendy, that’s you!) have any advice on dealing with this situation, I’d love to hear it.

Great pic. You decide to expose for the dog or the background. You can’t have them both in this situation! Great job!
